Six engineers,
one workshop,
fourteen years.

LUMEN was founded in 2012 by Maja Søndergaard, a former Bang & Olufsen engineer who quit on the day they outsourced soldering to Asia. We've made every product since in the same workshop on Strandlodsvej, Copenhagen — and assembled them in our Porto atelier with the same six craftspeople.

We don't have seasons. We launch when we're happy. The LUNA Pro took 3.5 years. The Orion 01 took 4.5. Nobody on our team has ever shipped something they didn't want to use themselves.
