Why Panic Is the New Hype
Every time a new model drops — GPT-5, Claude 4, or yet another Mistral — a swarm of influencers starts screaming: "The end of programmers!" Meanwhile, they write their own posts via ChatGPT, not noticing they've generated an infinite loop. Guys, maybe set up your CI/CD before burying the profession.
Reality: AI Is a Hammer, Not a Neural Interface
Sure, RAG pipelines and MCP servers make life easier. But try asking AI to write a microservice from scratch that passes your lead's code review. Spoiler: it'll spew out legacy code that works until Friday the 13th. Until AI learns to grok business requirements scribbled on a napkin, we're safe.
