Infinite Craft: When AI Gets You Hooked on 'Alchemy'
Infinite Craft by Neal.fun is an endless sandbox where an AI generates new elements from two starting ones. More addictive than TikTok scrolling.

Remember those old flash games where you combined fire and water to get steam? Developer Neal Agarwal (aka Neal.fun) turned that mechanic into an infinite content generator powered by AI.
How it works?
- You start with four elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind.
- Drag any two together — the AI suggests a new element.
- For example, Water + Earth = Plant, and Plant + Water = Swamp.
- From Swamp and Fire you can get Lava, and from Lava and Water — Stone.
And so on forever. The AI model is trained on a massive text corpus, so combinations are often logical, but sometimes you get surprises like 'Sad Pixel' or 'Cyber Unicorn'. The game has no goal — it's pure exploration of generative model capabilities.
Why developers should care?
Infinite Craft is a great example of how a simple mechanic (drag & drop + combining) can be scaled with AI. Instead of a predefined recipe table — dynamic generation. This approach can be applied in game design, educational apps, or creative brainstorming tools.
By the way, the project is completely free and runs right in the browser. No sign-ups or downloads — just jump in and lose an hour.
Studio METABYTE comment: Infinite Craft shows how AI can turn a simple idea into a viral product. If you're thinking about building your own interactive 'sandbox' — we can help implement the combining mechanic with any neural network backend.
