DEVengers: Code Heroes Assemble — Meet the New Dev Community

Remember that scene in "The Avengers" where heroes gather to save the world? Now imagine instead of Captain America you have a team lead with 10 years of experience, and instead of Iron Man — a senior dev who single-handedly resurrects a legacy project. Meet DEVengers — a community of developers who've united to do good (and code).

The folks recently published an introduction to their organization, describing themselves as a group of "extraordinary individuals" who influenced... well, everything development-related. Sounds ambitious, but watching their trailer (yes, they have a trailer like real superheroes), you start to believe. The community promises mentorship, open source projects, and probably saving your repo from yet another merge conflict.

What's inside?

• Open source: collaborative projects where anyone can feel like Tony Stark — minus the billion dollars.

Of course, behind every superhero team is titanic effort. DEVengers are just starting, and their main battle is for developers' attention. But if they can turn an ordinary code review into an exciting blockbuster, we're all for it.
