AWS has officially released in public preview Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Harness — a tool that runs your agents, and ShapeV2 keeps them from going rogue. If you've ever feared your AI agent might order pizza for the whole office or drop the production database, now you have a reason to sleep better.
Under the hood
AgentCore Harness is essentially a runtime for Bedrock-based agents. It handles all the grunt work: launching, monitoring, logging. And ShapeV2 is the new control layer: you declaratively describe what the agent is allowed to do and what is strictly forbidden. No more "accidental" calls to expensive APIs or access to sensitive data.
